This afternoon I was off duty and I caught our household help burning the dried leaves she has gathered in and around our veranda. I had nothing to do so I figured I’d take a few shots of the burning inferno. Hehehe.

Day 269
Passed by the South Road Properties and I was able to take a few shots of the SRP Autocross. I wanted to take more but I got there in time for the last few cars to make their run before the bell rang “lunch”. Rrrrring!!!

Day 267
I hadn’t been shooting much lately. Damn that work schedule, getting in the way of my hobby. Hehehe. Of course, I still do need to work to fund for this hobby of mine. I do have a lot more shots that I was not able to include in this project. You can check them out at http://www.flickr.com/photos/h0t_ice

A bottle of “Jack Daniel’s”?
A small bottle, really.
More like a shot?
Enough! Just check it out..

Day 51
Taking advantage of the good lighting outside, I managed to convince Nico to pose for me again. The sky’s a bit overcast giving me that soft diffused lighting.
F-stop: f/2
Shutter speed: 1/125 sec
ISO: 100

Day 50
I’m a total newbie when it comes to strobing and I thought of practicing while Nico is still in the mood. As usual, it is really hard to pose a child; that is, aside from figuring out the flash output power, the position of the flash, and the exposure settings of the camera.

Day 45
Happy Valentine’s day, Happy New Year, and Happy Anniversary to Jackie and I as well. Today, for us, is three events rolled into 1 day.
We were on our way to get Jackie’s phone that we had “pimped” at the Cyberzone when we spotted Jay Cayuca playing violin. He’s very good; not just with the violin but also with entertaining the crowd. I managed to take this shot of him.

Day 44
Trying to catch Nico playing with bubbles. Isn’t it nice to be a child? You don’t have to worry about tomorrow, paying debts, or what to eat for dinner. All you think about is doing what you love to do at that certain moment. Ahhh... Living only for the moment, not having to worry about what your actions might lead to. Isn’t that nice?

Day 43
I thought I heard something moving in the lot at the back of our house. I tried to scour it while bringing my camera with me. What I found were chicks hiding together with their mom. I managed to steal a shot through the not-so-thick leaves.

Day 37
"Desire is the key to motivation, but it's determination and commitment to an unrelenting pursuit of your goal - a commitment to excellence - that will enable you to attain the success you seek." - Mario Andretti
I’ve been absent for a couple of days already. I am really busy with our new scheduling system in the office; very hectic. So, I got the opportunity to shoot a football completion and hence this will also be my entry for Day 6.

Day 26
This is a neighbour’s dog who has found a home in our grounds; fur is shedding and looks almost “skin and bones”. We can’t bear looking at it like that. Animals are just so helpless; they can’t find work to feed themselves and are only dependent on what their masters give them. So, we fed it. What do people think when they adopt a dog and never mind to feed them properly or attend to their hygiene?

Day 23
This shot is probably a result of boredom or laziness. I had to shoot something for today, and this “lonely” clothes pin caught my attention. Took the shot and decided that this is what I’m going to use for today’s entry.

Day 22
In this picture is... One of our cats (we have 3). His name is Panda. Because his color scheme, well, kinda resembles that of a panda.

Day 12
Who’s that?
Yes, that’s right.
That’s “ME”.

Day 11
Today is such a boring day. I had nothing to do in the house. No chores, no pictures to take, and there’s no internet. What was I supposed to do? Honestly, I didn’t know what to shoot. This is why I decided to shoot myself doing nothing. Hehehe, staring out from our terrace.

Day 10
Shot at the Honda One Make Race. This is the new Honda Dash. I don’t know who the driver is. I really like panning shots and I did it a lot before. I like how it shows you movement while the subject remains reasonably sharp.
I liked shooting but I only stayed for 1 race because it was too hot. I kinda hoped I contacted one of the organizers earlier so I could have gotten a pass.

Day 9
Meet Marble! This is my girlfriend’s dog.
In this shot, I used one strobe on camera left, increased shutter speed to maximum sync speed so that I’d have the least ambient light, and patiently waited until Marble cooperated and made this pose.

Day 8
Hmmm... It is indeed true. I don’t know about the others but I found myself thinking hard about what to shoot today. Went outside, couldn’t find a thing to shoot. Went back inside and found my ”current” favourite hat. With my “pang balay” outfit, I proceeded to the terrace and took this shot. Used an IR trigger and I think if you look close, you can see it. This is good, one thing I found out was that I am now a lot fatter that before. This is a wakeup call to start that diet plan

Day 7
Upon arriving home, I caught a glimpse of 1 of our cats sleeping outside our terrace. I thought it would be a good subject for Project 365.

Day 6
This Project 365 really makes you think about what to shoot. I almost want to change the rules. I can’t bring my camera to the office so I’m limited to shooting what it is I find at home. Maybe sooner or later I’d run out of subjects to shoot. Try different angles perhaps? This is just day 6 and I’m already pressured. Hehehe

Day 5
I've always noticed this flower at the back of our house. It's hard not to notice because of its bright color. However, this is the first time I took a picture of it. Placed cam on manual, dialed until it's about less than -1 on the exposure reading, and this is what I got. Never bothered to take another shot.

Walay lingaw??
Shot in the mirror inside 1 of the restrooms at the Northwing, SM.
Bahala nang uban tao, this is for Project 365. hehehe

Day 2
At the new Cybergate mall. I find it a nice place to hang (next to the Parkmall, hehe) at the moment because it's not "yet" so crowded.

Project 365
A Project 365 involves taking at least one shot of any subject everyday for 365 days in 2010 and posting it anywhere like here in CebuPhoto.org, Flickr, Facebook or other sites. The ultimate goals here are to force yourself to bring and use your camera everyday, develop your eye in photography, push your skills in composition and post processing, evolve your artistic side, become a better photographer and ultimately rediscover your love for photography.
And to really force yourself into this, impose a penalty upon yourself should you miss a day whether by making up for it or to set aside 20, 50 or 100 pesos each day you miss in a fund which will be used at the end of the year to purchase more gears :D
The trick here will be looking for subjects to shoot. Going weeks into this, you will find yourself taking shots of the same subjects over and over again from different angles. If you manage to overcome this initial obstacle, you are well on your way to finishing this project should you have the needed discipline and willpower for this.
